The West of England Steam Engine Society
The W.E.S.E.S. is a group dedicated to the preservation of all steam engines, with special emphasis on steam road vehicles.
The "Age Of Steam" is a fascinating and romantic era on our history, and the ingenuity of the steam engineers has to be seen to be appreciated. In an age of ultra smooth, gadget laden automobiles it is a whole new physical sensation to ride on a Traction Engine. No words can describe the feeling of sheer raw power straining at the leash that these early machines invoke.
