The National Traction Engine Trust

The recent Newsletter from the FBHVC  mentions that in 1989 Michael Oliver and John Carter met for a debate: The only tangible reason for holding (steam engine) rallies is to promote brewers profits'. The debate was not too serious but it did raise some interesting points about the rally scene at the time. Times change and we have to change with them. It seems likely there will be fewer rallies in 2012 and we need to think how we can continue to make steam events attractive to the general public.

We also have a contentious issue causing concern in some quarters but a full explanation will be given to all members (and their guests) at the AGM at
