The National Traction Engine Trust

By now all members should have received their copy of 'Steaming'.

No doubt the article on 'Stresses Involved in Multi-engine Pulls' will be of interest to a number of members and may well prompt some people to contribute a follow up letter or email to the editor for publication in the next edition of 'Steaming'. However, there is a lot of evidence to support the view that Taking into consideration the general quality of the engines and crew involved in the (heavy haulage) demonstrations  at GDSF and also the emphasis that the organisers put on safe working I think it is reasonable to consider that whilst the effects of the demonstrations appear to be spectacular the actual stresses imparted to the participating engines are well within their design capabilities.

The editor always welcomes letters and emails - especially controversial matters such as ZRP!
