The National Traction Engine Trust

April 26th 2015 will see the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) stage it’s annual ‘Drive It Day’ event, which has become a firm favorite of owners of classic, vintage and of course steam vehicles alike.

The aim is simple, as it encourages all owners of all historic vehicles to take to the roads to demonstrate how many preserved machines are still able to use the roads in the modern day and age. It’s a similar call that the National Traction Engine Trust uses in our mission statement of ‘Preserving our heritage with steam on the road’.

With that at the forefront of the thinking the NTET openly encourages owners of steam driven engines to take to the roads on the 26th, and not only enjoy the thrill of driving an engine on the public highway but also sharing our hobby with others.

We would also welcome any images taken during the day, which we will share with others via this very website and of course our every popular Facebook page.
