The National Traction Engine Trust

Engines are wanted for an event at the Mercure Village The Last Drop Village at Bromley Cross, Bolton.

The location consists of 16 acres of grounds which date back to the 17th century. They have their own village street complete with pub and old village tea shop. There are various attractions but they would like to have road steam as an added attraction. If successful, it is hoped this will be an annual event.

There is plenty of space for living vans or exhibitors can have a discounted rate for accommodation in the hotel.

The event runs on Sunday 6th and 7th of May.

The organisers will supply coal and are willing to discus some appearance money for engines being transported. Access to the site is from the Saturday but if necessar they can arrive early and stay after the event.

Entry is free to the event and is aimed at attracting local residents, families from the Bromley Cross, Bolton area. The hotel will have the usual pub, tea shop etc open and will be offering exhibitors discounted vouchers for these outlets.
