Bob Pumfrey of Springwell Farm, Little Chesterford, Essex has been awarded the British Empire Medal.

Mr Robert John Pumfrey for services to  heritage steam and agricultural machinery of East Anglia.

Bob has been a prominent member of the East Anglian Traction Engine Society for over 40 years and closely involved with organising a large number of steam rallies throughout the area. He is owner of Ruston, Proctor agricultural engine 50278 Success - a rare example of an engine that has been with the same family since it was new.
