The National Traction Engine Trust

The Silverstone Classic  is being held over the weekend 22nd - 24th July 2011. The event has been growing every year and today it is the World’s Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival with  around 800 cars racing in over 20 different races celebrating a racing heritage from the 1920′s – 2000′s.

Off track there will be in excess of 6,000 classic cars on display from over 100 car clubs. 

In addition the Trust has been asked to organise a working display of around twenty traction engines which will be displayed in the area known as 'The Village Green'. This is a central area used as a meeting point and includes village stores, a bandstand, a Punch & Judy Show and a fairground. 

Included in the three day event there will be live rock and classical music acts, entertainment, demonstrations, a Concours d’ Elegance, art galleries and shopping.
