The National Traction Engine Trust

The SAC Burrell Project

Over the last few days the midnight oil has been burnt to have the SAC's 4 in scale Burrell completed in time for the official unveiling this Saturday. The model is now FINISHED and appears to be running well. The lagging has been placed on the boiler and is painted and lined. Tomorrow 'Lady Sylvia' will be transported to Old Warden in its trailer sponsored by Porterbrook. This will be in readiness for Saturday's ceremony. We are hoping as many of the apprentices who have belped Build a Burrell will be there to see the result of all their hard work - and perhaps have an opportunity to drive the model but of course, they will have to be supervised by an experienced adult engine driver.

The unveiling ceremony which will be  at 11.00 am on Saturday 13th September 2014 outside the NTET Exhibition Unit at the Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre.

Please come along to support the team and  the youngsters who after two years hard work, have now completed this fantastic project. A number of the Burrell's sponsors will be in attendance and no doubt they will be delighted to see the finished result.

The SAC would like everyone to join in with the celebrations. We look forward to seeing you there!!
