Dorset Diary 2010

Well, it's that time of year again!!! Dorset Steam Fair is just around the corner and we'll try to keep you updated on whats happening LIVE from the Dorset rally field. If you're planning to visit Dorset this year please write in and tell us about what you did, the deadline for the next magazine is only a few days after the end of Dorset, so get putting pen to paper!

Day 1 - Wed 1st Sep.

10:30am

It's its been a great start to the rally. We've had plenty of competition entries.
If you're visiting the show, pop into the ntet tent and say hello.
Unfortunately we won't be able to run the cavalcade tonight, but we're running one as usual on Thursday.

5.00pm

Today has been very sunny, ideal conditions for GDSF. We've had several apprentices out on our engines in the playpen.
We've also had a few more competition entries. Remember, if you want to enter any of the competitions you still can do, but you need to get them to the SAC stand by 10am Saturday morning.



Day 2 - Thu 2nd Sep

6:30pm

Today we ran our cavalcade, and as usual we had many apprentices turn up to have their go on an engine.

Today was another great day at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, We had another model entry, which brings us up to three now. We've also had a couple more photo entries.

Day 4 - Sat 4th Sep

Today we again put a few apprentices out onto our engines in the Playpen.
We also judged the cometitions. Prizes will be awarded Sunday Morning after Breakfast on the Shovel. Check out the news page next week to see who won!
